Question regarding using 2 different thread colors for saddle stitch
I am making another bifold wallet. I would like to use two different thread colors to create alternating color stitches. To give you my setup i am using 2-3 veg tan hand dyed with a 3mm french stitch with Ritza 6 tiger thread. I was considering tying a knot to connect the threads, then back stitching to lock in the threads and then cutting the knot and melting the ends to getting a good finish. Is this a sound plan? Would you do it differently?
