Genuinely, what are moles supposed to be? Are they made up imaginary quantities because we can't count every single atom in an element? How even big is a mole? Is it based on the elements' atomic numbers? I remember reading it was based on carbon-12 or something when started learning? Even then, I don't know what it means.
For me personally, Friday Night Funkin' could stand on its own and maintain its popularity without mods. However, I think more than 50% of its popularity comes from mods or at least the mods pushed to that degree for the main game.
It looks well-made, and yet feels badly put together.
The songs just sound off. Like the songs were fine as they were in the og mod. I feel like they tried to give them more flair only for the songs to have inconsistent tone. You could predict melodies in songs if it has a concrete pattern. Not the case with the songs in this mod. Revival My Battle feels so off, and the chart voice of Tabi sounds worse than the original.
They also babified him. Like that guy do not look like somewhat who would explode a building.
And the sprites...what emotions were they trying to convey on GF? Suprised? Awe? Wet? Like it doesn't fit the situation, gal. Plus, BF stays unchanged, until Genocide. His whole character design just changes. Not just a modification to fit the explosion, but like entirely changed and slapped damage effect on him. Like, what was the direction here?
The mod, for me, just feels unpleasant for me to play.
The entirety of the mod feels like beautiful wood sculptures put together by a super glue. Individually, the sprites, the art, and the voicelines are all great (except the songs themself). It just feels lazily put together.
What actually happened man? Back then, everybody was playing every single mods that came out. There were shit tons of content farms as well (a sign that a media has reached peak popularity). I was an og man. I got into FNF a little before week 6 came out. During 2022, I kinda drifted away from FNF for some reason. And recently, I came back and HOLY SHIT, it isn't even half of what it used to be man. I would very much appreciate if someone could explain what happened between.
