I love DayZ have thousands of hours going all the way back to the Arma 2 mod days. However, there is one aspect that I strongly feel is overlooked. The bayonet. Bayonet equipped rifles are severely underpowered. While using bayonet equipped rifles you cannot block or parry incoming attacks. I strongly feel that adding the ability to block incoming attacks with a bayonet equipped rifle much like you can with a pitchfork or improvised spear should be added to the game by either the devs or a mod. I think its really silly that a player with an improvised spear or pitchfork can own a player equipped with a rifle and bayonet to say nothing about a zombie who has absolutely no weapons. I feel the mechanics would be simple much like talking can be push to talk or toggled for continuous transmission by either holding the button while speaking or double tapping for continuous transmission. I really do feel that adding this mechanic would make bayonets relevant other than a fancy knife. I would be curious what others thoughts are or if such a mod exists. Cheers.
