Trying out some horses on Sunday, need some tips on what to ask/look for!!

It’s been quite a few years since I’ve been on the search for a horse, and it’s really quite daunting!
For reference I’m looking for something very young and not long backed as I’d like to put my own stamp on it. I’ve competed up to 1.20m and trained round 1.30m.

Obviously I’ve done all the common sense things like background checking the horses and the sellers, and know to see if a horse has been tuned/drugged/already worked etc but just looking for extra tips!

the best advice I’ve heard is asking, ‘what’s the worst thing you’ve known it to have done’ and I’d like to know if anyone has any more advice 🙈
