Hi guys,

So I am a uni student and recently started renting a student accommodation from February 2026 till the coming September. I needed a guarantor so the best option at the moment was Housing Hand, paying a monthly subscription of 71 GBP per month.

However my contract with the student accommodation ends in September, yet they told me I would still have to pay the monthly fee of 71 GBP until February 2027.

Has anyone ever been in a similar situation? It is not reasonable for me to still pay if the contract that they are guaranteeing is finished.

Asking for any advice you guys may have.
