Career advise. Looking to break into CRE
Hello All,
Not sure if this is the right question for this sub, but I didn’t see anything against this in the rules. I am an asset manager for a mortgage servicer in So Cal. I graduated in 2020 with a degree in finance. I primarily handle short sales, deeds in lieu, and other forms of loss mitigation. I have handled 272 transactions in about 5 years. I have always wanted to break into CRE and become an analyst/ asset manager. I know my title is asset manager, but I understand my current roles is widely different from a CRE asset management. I have recently been applying to multiple firms, but I have yet to receive so little as a call back. I also understand I am lacking in modeling experience. Any advice on how to break into CRE? Thank you in advance for any suggestions !
