Lawn edge advice please!
Newbie gardener here!
This strip used to be filled with soily gravel, but quickly became overrun with weeds as I focused on other bits. I've cleared it out, and now I'm deciding what to do with it.
It's just under 20cm wide, gets some shade from the trellis, but plenty of afternoon sun.
My ideas so far:
A) Sow grass seed and extend the lawn. Feels a bit boring.
B) Add a narrow row of pavers as a mowing strip. Not very feasible with the honeysuckle and rose roots.
C) Sow wildflowers for the bees. Will this make staying on top of bindweed harder?
D) Something else entirely?
One complication is that there was quite a bit of bindweed in part of the strip. I've removed as much as I can, but I expect some may come back.
Would you wait a season to see if the bindweed returns before planting anything? What would you do with this space?
