Avelon PW sever - anyone knows this?

Want to play the damn game due to nostalgia, but all the famous servers are 5 year old or so, every single player has all characters maxed and plays basically solo I bet. No way for a new player (a not very experienced one) to dive in, there’s no point…

I was scrolling MMOTOP’s list of PW private servers and some “Avelon” is about to have a marathon for new characters (not the new server though), so it’s my chance to actually play from
scratch with other people.

But they claim their game client is not traditional, it’s some weird build on another engine…I just want to ask if anybody here knows this server, is it safe? I only found one comment here saying “it’s a scam server”, what does it mean?

Two questions about this game

So I checked the discussions here and it seems like everyone says the game is finally more or less optimized now, but I checked Steam reviews and they’re still “Mixed” even when filtering by “most recent.” I’m confused. Is it optimized or not?

I also heard that everyone who complains about optimization has a bad CPU. I’m not tech-savvy, I just bought my first gaming laptop a few months ago and still don’t know what games I can run and what I can’t. The CPU is AMD Ryzen 8945HX. This annoying shit constantly hits 100-105 degrees Celsius when gaming, so I was recommended to reduce its power so it won’t kick the bucket in just a year. Can you please tell me if I’m going to get good performance in Monster Hunter Wilds with this crap or not? Also, I only have 16 GB of RAM and an RTX 5060 with only 8 GB.
______________

My second question is about difficulty. I see people say this game is beginner-friendly. Is it easier than Monster Hunter World then? I played that game years ago but had to give up. Most of the time I either died 3 times or the timer ran out - I simply couldn’t kill a monster within 30 or 40 minutes…I upgraded everything, but still couldn’t take down Diablos and the like in 30–40 minutes time limit. My library shows I spent 60 hours in that game, I remember I realized I wasn’t getting any better after all these hours, so I gave up. I loved that game, but it was just too hard for me, too clunky. Half of my attacks didn’t reach the monster because it moved so much, and I had to dodge constantly, so I barely hit a monster. Is MH Wilds easier than World, or is it the same and I won't be able to succeed again?
