For people who have seen multiple eclipses, hows does the experience of the first one compare to the rest?

I witnessed my first eclipse in Spain this year, and would never have imagined it looks/ feels so beautiful. No words can describe it. I wonder if it’s because it was my first one, or if people get the same feeling every time.

I recently got a used Celestron 5SE, but i cannot seem to get the alignment to work properly.
I am using SkyAlign, and live near Athens, Greece. I also tried two star align and solar system align using the moon, but once it gives me a prompt that alignment was successful, i ask it to point at some object(like star or a planet that I can see with my eyes) and it turns and points at random places clearly missing my target by large margin.

Using the following settings:
Daylight saving Time
Zone 2 for time zone
Local time down to the minute
Location set to Athens, Greece
Tracking mode to Sidereal

I have read that batteries might be an issue, but the last two times I used it, i was using a new pack of batteries.

What might I be doing wrong? Anyone had any issues with this in the past?

I recently got a used Nextstar 5SE, which came with a T-adapter and T-ring and was curious to try out taking pictures of the moon with a Nikon D90 that I already own.
Where do I start? Any beginner guides I could use for capturing and processing? Will I be able to achieve focus?

I understand my equipment is not good for astrophotography, but since I own both I was curious to give it a try.

I found a good deal on a used Celestron 5SE for £300. I either need to rent a car to get it, or put the scope in a bag and transport it (taxi/ train), but was wondering if the mount/ tripod will fit in one of my large luggage.
I can take good care so that it does not get damaged, but wanted to see if it will fit.
