I have quite a few shares that were issued through a company incentive scheme, I’m no longer with the company and the company actually stopped the share scheme before I’d left. We were always told any shares we bought were tax free after 2 years and the matched ones after 3 years, I’ve owned these for a lot longer and would now like to sell. I’m currently retired and living off savings so not a tax payer currently, I’m looking to sell around £40k of my shares and wondered if I’d pay CGT on them.

We are a couple in our late 50s from Scotland in the UK, we plan to fly into HCMC late January 27 and fly out from Hanoi roughly 85 days later.
Currently we have no set plans just a rough idea of what we want to do, below is our very rough plan.
5-10 days in or around HCMC
5-10 days travel to Da Nang
30 days around Da Nang possibly staying in same place for duration.
5-10 days travelling to Hanoi and then the remainder in this area.

As we would like to be flexible how easy would it be to book accommodation a few days before?
Where is best place for booking accommodation ?
Does this plan sound reasonable or would you change duration or places?

We aren’t looking for anything posh, also not wanting hostels unless private room and bathroom.
