Parent what are your reactions to other supporter during tournaments?

I have been to several tournaments as a spectator to support the children in my family and I usually always hear a spectator yelling “Put them to sleep! Break their arm!” during kids matches at some point. Parents who have heard these words said by the opponents family how do you react? Am I too emotional because I hear it and I get pissed off and these aren’t even my kids?

To be clear, I’m not talking about people yelling things like “Take their back… get their arm…” or anything along those lines. I get its a competition and kids are trying to get subs but someone especially an adult yelling for a kids arm to be broken or getting put to sleep seems like fighting words to me.

Who will be excommunicated?

With the consecration of the new SSPX Bishops I have seen a lot of people saying things about the excommunications. I see some saying all of the SSPX parishioners and clergy is excommunicated and some saying just the Bishops are. So who is right?

My child says God isn’t real…

because he has never seen God before. When I ask he says he believes in Jesus because he sees icons, statues, and Him hanging from the cross.

My child is only 5 so I am not freaking out just yet, but how should l help my child understand and come to believe in God as I raise him in the faith?

For context, he attends Catholic school and within the home I do my part. We pray, we read Bible stories and talk about them, we learn about the Saints, we attend Mass, and I do my best on applying different Works of Mercy into our lives when the opportunity arises and tying those Works of Mercy to God.

Has anyone raised a child in an Eastern Rite but sent them to a Roman Catholic school?

I am deeply drawn to Eastern Spirituality and Theology and I am interested in attending my local Byzantine Catholic Parish Formation classes for myself and my child but I am hesitant because he attends a Roman Catholic school and I am not sure if that would cause him confusion. What I don’t want is to raise him in both and cause him to be confused on theology and spirituality as he gets older. Has anyone experienced this? I am not sure if this makes sense.

How does the Holy Mystery of Penance work among Byzantine Rite for children?

Since children in the Byzantine Rite can receive the Eucharist from infancy what is the process of them receiving the Holy Mystery of Penance? Is that what it’s even called? Please correct me if I am wrong. Do they take classes? Do they show up one day at a certain age at confess with some preparation? I’m curious.

Also how does this work for other Non Byzantine Eastern Rites?
