The destination is right there.

The destination is right there.

Sometimes the destination is right in front of you, but there’s no obvious path to it.

A big part of BLACK WALLS is figuring out the space itself, observing the architecture, finding what doesn’t quite make sense, and slowly working out how to get from where you are to where you need to be.

Been working on these lately, and we have some exciting news

We've been pretty buried in development lately, working on new environments and getting everything ready for the next stage of the game.

Also, a little bit of good news from us. BLACK WALLS will take part in Future Games Show live from gamescom on August 26!

Still lots to do, but it feels good seeing this weird little world slowly coming together.

We added platforming to our first-person psychological horror game.

We have been working on BLACK WALLS, a first-person psychological horror game, and one thing we decided early on was to include platforming as part of the core exploration.

Instead of using platforming for fast-paced action, we wanted it to make navigating the labyrinth feel more physical and rewarding. Sometimes the way forward is not obvious, and reaching it means carefully reading the architecture around you.

We just launched our Steam page and our first gameplay teaser, would love to hear what platformer fans think.

Can black and white alone create an unsettling space?

We often get asked why BLACK WALLS is almost entirely monochrome.

One of the reasons is we wanted to see how far we could push atmosphere by using black, white, light, and simple geometry.

Here are three more places from the labyrinth. Every space is trying to create a slightly different feeling, even though they all use the same limited visual language.

Which one would you want to explore first?

If you like quiet exploration games with a strange atmosphere.

We have been building BLACK WALLS, a first-person psychological horror game focused on quiet exploration and impossible architecture. There is a chill mode for people who just want to explore the world at their own pace. I would love to hear what you think:)

Here are a few more screen shots from our game

Throughout the development, we were never quite sure about the "liminal labyrinth" concept used in the game we were creating, we weren't certain if anyone would actually like it.

Two weeks ago, I shared a screenshot in this sub. The response and encouragement i received genuinely surprised us, and honestly, it gave us a huge boost of confidence right before launching our Steam page.

So today I just wanted to come back and share this little milestone with all of you. Thank you to everyone who left a comment, an upvote, or even just stopped by.

We have created a steam page launch week event to share some of the ideas and inspirations behind the world we're creating. and a little Founder's gift for everyone who discovers us during launch week.

Thank you again. Really.
