How is the weather between 15 of July and 15 august? Planning a trip next year but i don’t like to go if it rains a lots…

I need some suggestions for portable SDR to bring with me during my holidays. I don’t bring with me any pc, so i would need something standalone that can also pass through customs. I haven’t any HAM licenses. It would be a bonus if it has a screen to see the waterfall.

At the end of july i will start a trip of 2 weeks in china: 4 days in Beijing, 2 in Xi’an and the rest in Shanghai. I have some doubts about some topics.

1. E-sim. I’m thinking of buying one from Holafly or Airalo. Are they good or there are other better alternatives?
2. VPN. I know it is a roulette about vpn, any advice? Are proton or nordvpn good? To access gmail and whatsapp i need to be connected always with vpn via the esim data or i can connect to local wifi like the hotel one? I fear i’ll lose them if i connect to local wifi.
3. Tickets. Where to buy them? And how much before? Is Trip.com a good site for them? I was searching for Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City but i only found group tour and not tickets.

Whatcto do if the mini apps are only in chinese?

1. Public bathrooms. There are any? Other options?
2. Transport card. For Beijing and Shanghai there are prepaid cards to pay the tolls for bus and metro? Where i can buy them?
3. Apps. I installed already wechat, alipay, , trip.com, amap, didi, metroman and baidu translate, plus google translate with mandarin for offline translation. Other i need?
4. Payments. There is a way to check if online payments works for alipay and wechat before landing?
