6 months into the ARIRANG era, so what has came true from your comeback wishlist?

So about 6 months ago, I made a post here asking what everyone’s wishlist was for the comeback or what they were excited about, and I thought it would be fun to look back on it and see what we have gotten so far during the ARIRANG era. For me, these seven were my comeback wishlists:

  1. To hear “Suga” right before Yoongi comes in: Sadly, didn’t get this, but we got a Yoongi Prod. track with “Come Over,” so I will take it as a win.
  2. A song with a guitar solo section: Yessss, and it is one of my favorite songs off of ARIRANG. “Like Animals” is simply so beautiful, including that insane guitar solo section.
  3. Comeback trailers dropping on a random Tuesday if they end up doing one: They didn’t do a comeback trailer this time around, and I kind of get that, seeing how they avoided any sort of album spoilers for the ARIRANG drop.
  4. To have a track where a member starts a verse with the last line of the previous verse, like Namjoon ending his verse in “I Need U” with “The sky is blue again” and Jin starting his verse with “Maybe it’s because the sky is blue again,” or in “ON,” when Hobi ended his verse with “Even if I fall, I come right up, scream” and Yoongi started his verse with “Even if I fall, I come right up, scream.” I think the closest thing on ARIRANG to this is Hobi rapping “None of us are tameable” and then Tae coming in with “Heart Untameable” for the bridge, or in “Come Over,” Tae ending the post-chorus with “But would you open up, if I knocked on your door?” and Joon starting his verse with “Knock, knock, knockin’ on your door.” So both are not direct repetitions, but slight variations, and they still hit the spot.
  5. A fan song: And we got TWO, the beautiful concert and album closer “Into The Sun” and the ultimate Festa song, “Come Over”!
  6. The first OT7 magazine cover: We got a couple of massive ones, with the first being the GQ cover, which was incredible, followed by them gracing the Rolling Stone special issue.
  7. Another Tiny Desk performance: We didn’t get this one… yet, but Tiny Desk’s producer Bobby Carter has teased the possibility of having them again soon, so fingers crossed.

Overall, I feel like this era has given me almost everything I wanted and even more, from the Netflix comeback show and BTS on Hot Ones to them co-headlining the FIFA half-time show and the multiple music videos so far, each with such different aesthetics. So I’m curious: what did you end up getting from your “wishlist” if you replied to that previous post? And even if you didn’t, what were you excited to experience that has actually happened so far in this era? What are some things you didn’t expect but are especially happy we got? And what are some things you were hoping for that we still haven’t gotten yet?

BTS's business on the jumbotron but what's new. Also I have been laughing over this debate, Jin is a menace for putting Vminkook through this.

The virality of ARIRANG is astounding

I saw this tweet and I am just gagged by how crazy viral multiple ARIRANG tracks are on tiktok with so many different trends and challenges for all the tracks.

Also beyond SWIM, They Dont Know Bout Us, Hooligan, and 2.0, all the other tracks are heavily being used too. Body to Body's official audio has been removed from tiktok the first week for some reason and yet an unofficial audio still has 500K+ posts and both Like Animals and FYA are also about to hit 500K posts.

For reference, this is what the numbers look like for some of the biggest hits by BTS. Boy With Luv has 6.5 million posts in 7 years, Dynamite has 12.5 million posts in 6 years, Butter has 4.5 million posts in 5 years, My Universe has 1.1 million posts in 5 years as well, and Run BTS has 3.9 million posts in 4 years.
