You do! While we may not have kurus, we still have our bonded, (pets). James Cameron doesn’t pull ideas out of nowhere, everything in that film is based off of some sort of thing on Earth.

It pains me when someone says that they’d prefer to be on pandora, since it feels like they completely missed the meaning of the movies in the first place. I do understand where those people come from perspective wise, however, considering the meaning of the films, it doesn’t make sense.

This may be a little bit of a hot take but if you explore the earth’s natural environment rather than concrete jungles, you may be able to be like the Na’vi and understand how everything works from different cultures.

Quaritch proposes to Varang (as the human way) instead of the traditional mating rituals and stuffs idk

He seems like the guy to decide to do it as a joke but Varang actually gets excited at the metal circle even though it holds no significance for na’vi as it does humans lmfao

I think they would have darker skin because most animals that live in snowy conditions have dark skin underneath their fur (like polar bears)

To go hunting, warriors would spike up their hair to have the same meaning varang’s headpiece (to make them more imposing) but natural by freezing it one way or another.

Of course we can’t forget about tattoos and face paint… like the reef clans, the snow clans also have tattoos, (but to a much lesser extent than maōri tattoos), and are inspired by inuit traditions 🫪

I also forgot to add their masks that they carve out of animal bones to protect themselves from snow blizzards and also to stop kick-up from the ground getting into their face. They also have darker eyes to see in the light much easier, since the snow would be blinding with the sun on it.

Also added snowy hair because why not

Might clean it up and render when I get time

That James Cameron only created Neteyam for the sole purpose of killing him, he was born and then died in the same movie. He has so many people saying “I wish he didn’t die!” or “It should’ve been ____!” when they don’t see the fact that Neteyam was a filler character.

While yes, you could say that Neteyam deserved better, but that’s what Cameron wanted to show, how all of the Na’vi deserve better. Also to show the greed and inhumanity of the RDA in itself. I don’t see anyone saying about Neytiri’s father and how he didn’t deserve it.

We wouldn’t’ve had the chance to see Neytiri kick off, nor the final battle in the 3rd movie. It’s a well planned chain of events from his death.

Only making this post since I’m tired of people complaining about Neteyam in general 😭
