2 meter antenna makes 70cm noise

I have a satellite setup that consists of a 2 m and 70cm Yagis on different booms. I had some struggles with a recent pass, so I did some experiments. When I would transmit at 145.850 MHz on the 2m Yagi, the 70cm would get hit with S5 or higher noise on 436.795 MHz.

I took an HT with a rubber duck antenna and tuned it to 436.795 MHz and pointed the 2m Yagi at it and still got noise. Tried to see if it was the power supply but it wasn't. Switched from the 2m Yagi to a j-pole, and the noise went away.

What could make a 2m Yagi, fed with 145.850 MHz, produce strong noise at 436.795 MHz?

If you worked ISS around 2025-05-10 04:10 - 04:30 UTC

I could use some help. I made at least 5 good contacts during that pass over California only to realize my recorder wasn't working. If anyone else was working that same pass and has a recording, I'd appreciate it.

How do operators prove they operated out of a rare grid?

Suppose I somehow got to CM79 with my satellite setup. What's the expectation for proof that I was there when I log it to LotW and it counts for awards?

AO-123/ASRTU-1 Repeater

The normally reliable FM repeater on AO-123/ASRTU-1 has not been heard for two days in a row. No other information available. Hope it returns to service.

I watched a video of someone making successful sat contacts with an Elk log-periodic. Unlike the Arrow, the VHF and UHF are in the same plane. Someone in the comment sections said the Arrow is better because the UHF & VHF sections are perpendicular, which matches the antennas on the satellites.

Some well known satellite operators, like WD9EWK, use an Elk antenna and don't seem to have any problems with polarization. I'm thinking of building a Moxon antenna that uses a parasitic driven element for UHF, which would have similar polarization as the Elk. What's are your thoughts?
