Is optima tax relief a scam?
I signed up with Optima Tax Relief in 2022. I paid in full in 2022 a sum of just under $6k. After 8 months, when I sent them the supposed final water and power bill they asked for, i received a back-dated letter that optima tax would no longer be representing me and was terminating the power of attorney. After some harsh words with several people they reinstated my case. It is now 2026 and no resolution. They ask me for paperwork, statements, etc. I submit them and after some time, at some points it has been 6 months to a year of hearing nothing from them, they request the same paperwork saying they need updated information. Take this for what you will. Im not saying it is a scam. Im saying after 4 years of Optima dragging their feet, requiring me to submit the same documents time and time again to "update" my account, nothing has been resolved.
