Lipid panel

I had my routine bloodwork done for my physical this year and everything looked great except that my hdl is suddenly pretty low after being in the normal range for quite literally forever. Imagine my surprise when I look it up and it says nexplanon is known to cause changes in your lipid panel. It’s not enough to be medically significant and the doctor didn’t advise to have it removed, but it does make me nervous and a little hesitant to continue a medication that I know is lowering my protection against heart disease. Has anyone else ever experienced this?

Help with snake identification [just outside of Tulsa, OK]

Grandmother sent me these pictures after their dog alerted them to a snake in the yard. They chased it away, but is it one they should be concerned about if it comes back?
