Bringing parents to Canada

Please bear with me if the thoughts expressed in this post seem scattered. I'm a little frazzled thinking about my parents' future.

Second Gen NRI here, with parents who recently retired to India to a tier-2 city with which they are familiar enough that they can get basic things done. Since they haven't lived there for decades, they don't really have a network in India. Due to this reason, I'm not very worried about social isolation. They are not very old right now, but maybe in another 5-7 years, there might be enough health deterioration that their basic mobility might get affected. Thats the worry that keeps eating at me.

I know the parents/grandparents thing is closed right now, but I want to hear from people who have settled themselves (citizenship, house, decent job etc) in the last 5-10 years in Canada and are thinking about bringing their parents over, or have successfully done so. Is it still realistic to pursue sponsorship for parents, or are things in Canada too cooked?

I guess the advice I'm looking for is admin/logistical. What is a realistic way to go about bringing them here? What can I do right now. I am Canadian, and my sibling is US based but not a pr/citizen.
