Desoxyn, Wakix, & Sodium Oxybate Safety Concerns
I'm prescribed all three but haven't started Wakix yet. I read that there's a chance of cardiac arrest with Wakix, especially if taken with drugs that may cause QT interval prolongation (like methamphetamine).
I was previously on Tezspire (no longer taking it), which combined with Lumryz, caused nightmarish heart palpitations that made it impossible to sleep, hence my concern about adding Wakix.
I'm planning on asking my PCP for an EKG to see if Wakix would be safe for me to take, but I just wanted to hear everyone's thoughts or advice on this combination.
A bit of background: I have narcolepsy with cataplexy. I rely on Desoxyn to reduce EDS, brain fog, and to lessen the frequency and intensity of my cataplexy at work. The Wakix would ideally target the remaining cataplexy and reduce my dependence on Desoxyn.
