My second day wandering the meadow,

wild grasses swaying in the calm wind,

until converging trails brought me to you.

Time paused as I looked right...

An unfamiliar white sapphire,

elegant and pure,

gazing upon me with quiet unspoken desire.

My white sapphire… how did you arrange the sun

to fall upon your hair, cheeks and lips so gracefully,

You must be God’s finest wine,

a wine so sacred, one sip would possess me.

Your beauty struck me suddenly like lightning,

piercing my sorrow filled heart,

washing the weight of my own mind.

If this is how one glance can heal a soul,

then let me walk this path a thousand days

within the white sapphire gaze...

Beautiful white sapphire,

gaze upon me forevermore.
