LIRR Strike
LIRR Employees have gone on strike.
Union wants a 5% increase.
MTA is playing games with smaller raises and a lump sump payment at the final year. In addition, higher health insurance costs for new employees. They have also started a scare campaign about having to raise taxes and fares to cover the wage increase.
