I passed on my first try after studying for 2 weeks.
I had a head start, my father was in finance and I graduated with a business degree and have managed my own portfolio of investments for some time now but here are some tips:
Google Gemini now has a feature where it can generate quizzes for you and help you prepare. I also purchased the Achievable study pack but I’ll say it’s WAY more comprehensive than the SIE actually was. I was breezing through the Gemini coursework and then got nervous it wasn’t actually useful so I bought achievable and was failing the practice tests - 43%, 60%, etc. I got pretty nervous, but almost none of the questions I was missing on the achieve practice tests were on the actual exam. Some of these threads said the SIE was harder than achievable but no chance is that true.
The finra practice exam did have some crossover. I remembered about 5-7 of the same questions from the free practice exam that made it onto my actual test.
If you aren’t looking to spend much money just go with Gemini’s study tools, just say I’m studying for the SIE, make me a practice quiz. And go from there.
