I am currently working as a Senior Scientist in biotech R&D and still have a stable position, although I understand that layoffs are always a possibility in this industry. Recently, I have become very interested in clinical operations and have started learning the basics on my own. My concern is that transitioning into clinical operations would likely mean starting from scratch. I would appreciate guidance on where to begin, what skills or knowledge I should focus on first, and where I might find opportunities to enter the field.
