New controller/"deck"

Excuse the sh*t photos, here's my new build. This features a mid sized Chinese keyboard, a USB trackball micro mouse converted into what should ergonomically feel like the right side of a normal console controller. The left and right mouse click buttons are integrated triggers on the rear of the trackball now, used by the index and middle fingers when wrapped around the handle for a standard ergonomic controller feel. The "brain" is currently my Google pixel 7 pro, but the beauty of this build is that I can plug and play my custom "controller" deck with any PC or USB capable device and model/print the attachment to this body. On the left side there is a bolted-in carry handle, on the bottom left there is an ergonomic palm rest, on the right is the triggered trackball mouse with the ergo-thermoformed controller grip stick, top right is a power bank and dongle used to connect the mouse to the phone. The phone is on a tungsten springed tension hinge so that it's angle can be changed for comfort or so that it can be "shut" and under the device there are TPU rubbery feet for a nice flat sit on a table. Eventually I will take away the power bank or relocate it and put another old phone in its place so that I can use the old droid to monitor my Fluidd interface and SSH into a pwnagotchi that I'm making. Happy building!

6025 fan shroud update (orz-remix)

Well, the 6025 shroud is put together and running well. This project aims to use the 6025 blower fans that come stock on the inside of the auxiliary fan bar for the Neptune 4 series printers.

I removed the fan bar long ago, just months after buying the printer. It was massive, added weight and a ton of noise, and over-cooled most all filaments beyond PLA. Others mileage may vary, but I wasn't a fan of the fan per se. The 6025 blower fans can be removed from the fan bar to be used as the part fans on either side of the new shroud (rather than the 5015's that this shroud was originally designed for by orzorzorz on printables).

I mainly was wanting better, quieter cooling without buying the 5015's listed for the original build. The hot end fan still respectively uses one of the 4015's that went on the OG shroud as a part fan. As stated by orzorzorz, I had to reverse the wiring of the 4015 fan for it to spin in the right direction. I also had to print some black PETG spacers for the long bolts mounting the large fans, which can be seen in the photos.

After assembling, I updated the printer .CFG to reflect a hot end fan speed of 0.4

I did not touch the speed of the 6025's, mainly because when I edited their speed and restarted the printer, an error came across the fluidd interface and klipper couldn't boot with a speed set under [fan], so I uncommented the line I had added. Also, because I wanted to test and see if their 100%speed worked or if it just blows spaghetti everywhere. News: it works!

If anyone would like for me to put up the file somewhere, just let me know! I have never shared one of my designs with the community, mainly because they're typically not impressive, but thought this may be useful to some of you goons

New controller/"deck"

This build will basically be a shell for a Chinese Bluetooth keyboard (somewhat small, which was intended but also had it as an extra) and a trackball with L and R mouse click button triggers on the back. The photos so far are just layout, most parts are printed but the shell for the keyboard isn't done yet. The shell will ultimately attach all parts together. I may add a pwnagotchi pi zero 2w with a tiny screen to attach to the shell as an oddball attachment, and for cappin' handshakes while running the net! Lol. Will post an update once the shell is done and the handle/controller palm stick is thermoformed and all is integrated. Happy building!

Prototype and chill?

How I'm monitoring my printer via cyber deck while prototyping a remix of orzorzorz shroud to upcycle the fans of the bar-mounted 6025 fans. I'll keep y'all posted on how the 6025's work, it'd be cool to be able to reuse them from the useless massive fan bar js
