Can’t remove activation lock/ Stolen device protection without FaceID
Greetings fellow iPhone users. Here’s the deal, i sent my iPhone to my brother overseas, I didn’t sign out of iCloud or anything, basically sent it as is. Now for him to erase the phone, he needs my faceID. Or even to sign out of iCloud or turn off Stolen device protection, it requires faceID.
I tried removing the phone from iCloud on my current iPhone and it says “because stolen device protection is turned on, you cant make changes from new device until May 22.”
Once we reach that date and I remove the device from Account from the current phone, will it sign out of my iCloud on that one and would he be able to reset the phone or anything?
I know it was dumb of me to send it without resetting it.
Also on the iCloud.com/find, i have an option to erase iphone, would that help? Or make the iPhone Unavailable?
