Have worked almost 2 years here, have never seen a digital coupon like this.

Two customers today came up with this digital deal that promised around $30 (they were both different) if they spent a certain amount on their groceries over three weeks. I have NEVER seen nor heard about a coupon remotely like this. Then again, one of the people who came up with it is a regular scammer at our checkouts, so I actually question the legitimacy of the supposed digital deal. It was mapped like the following:

“Save $__ if you spend $___ or more per week…” (I don’t remember the rest)

Has anyone else seen this? Or is this just a new scam to get free money off your order?

I’m so sorry, I feel dumb asking this but what are these called?

I am going crazy right now trying to figure out the specific term for the thing I’m describing because it’s so elaborate and hard to explain without using a lot of words. basically I’m looking for the term that describes two words or phrases that have the same exact arrangement of vowels and consonants. Example: (v=vowel,c=consonant)

“Life” and “pace” : cvcv
“Separate” and “delicate” : cvcvcvcv
“Fallen” and “sipped” : cvccvc
“Place” and “spice” : ccvcv

I would appreciate any info on what this could possibly be called.
