New to Menstrual Cups? This Removal Tip Helped Me

I had the exact same panic my first cycle. Stop pulling the stem - it is not a handle. Reach up past the stem to the base of the cup and pinch it firmly.

You are denting the cup slightly to break the suction seal. Once the seal releases - sometimes you hear a soft pop - it slides out easily. Also try bearing down with your pelvic floor first, like pushing it lower before reaching in.

Took me 10 minutes that first time and about 20 seconds now. You are not doing anything wrong.

Why do you think menstrual cups are still not mainstream in India?

Menstrual cups have been around for years and can last for several years, yet most people still use pads. Is it lack of awareness, fear of insertion, hygiene concerns, or something else?

I recently came across menstrual cups from brands like Sirona https://thesirona.com/products/sirona-reusable-menstrual-cup-for-women and was surprised that many people still haven't considered trying them, despite the long-term cost and environmental benefits.

For those who have tried a menstrual cup, what was your experience like? And for those who haven't, what's the biggest reason holding you back?

Would love to hear different perspectives and experiences.
