I'm planning a drive down to Grand Isle from New Orleans Saturday just because I'm broke, have nothing to do, and I think its a lovely drive. I'm bringing my dog along and wanted to see if someone had any recommended paths where I can park and let the dog stretch her legs before heading back (on leash of course). I know dogs on the beach are not appreciated in most places I've lived and don't want her sandy anyway. Last time I was checking out the state park it didn't seem like there was great paths for dogs but that was in 2022 so don't know if that's changed. I was looking at Elmers Island. Figured I'd cast a line and see if anyone had any recommendations or I might just be stopping at the park in Golden Meadow.
