ICICI Cards Massive Limit Reduction
My first ever credit card was ICICI Coral which i got when i opened my salary account with them in Feb 2023 - initially i had a limit of 1.1L - last year in may, i was eligible for their dual product card which had both Amex and Mastercard and since I had a trip coming up to the US, I took those.
So essentially I have 3 cards from ICICI but i generally use the coral.
Throughout this period, my limit had increased a few times and was finally at 2.8L. Last month, out of nowhere, the limit got reduced to 90k, then immediately within a week to 48k and now today to 20k.
I do have 2 big personal loans taken out from ICICI but I had taken one a few years ago as well and nothing like this had happened then + my CIBIL score is 768, so not bad.
I have tried to talk to the customer care but they just keep saying that it’s based on periodic assessment of usage and payments - which, i have good usage and no history of late or missed payment.
Can someone please help me understand what’s going on, and what i should do now?
