Trying to connect pixel watch to flip7 and cannot get out of this screen that says connecting to your watch ..any tips?

Watch screen stays on continue on phone.

Tried resetting watch, clearing caches in Bluetooth, uninstalling apps, checking for hidden notifications (if any but no). Bluetooth says the watch is connected for calls.
