Job search and skilled worker visa approval- positive experience
Got made redundant + got my skilled worker visa the same week.
I just want to share my experience in case it helps someone out there.
I was on a graduate visa and my company told me last year that they couldn’t sponsor my visa. So I started applying for new roles straight away. It was a tough process, a lot of interviews went nowhere simply because companies couldn’t sponsor. I kept going anyway.
Then earlier this year, my role was made redundant on top of everything else. But since I had already been applying for a while, I had interviews lined up and one of them came through. I landed a senior role and the new company sponsored both my visa and my husband’s visa.
This Friday they applied through super priority and my skilled worker visa came through. So happy!
