Anyone got a clean QLC+ profile for these compact 9R beam heads?
Long story short: bought 6x Betopper CLB260s for a small touring rig (mostly bar/club one-offs). My previous venue gig was running Claypaky Sharpys, so I'm used to manufacturers shipping bulletproof fixture files. Kind of spoiled.
The CLB260 is a 12-channel fixture with DMX + RDM, but the QLC+ official library doesn't have an entry for it yet. I wrote a profile based on the manual + a couple hours of "send DMX value, observe what happens". attached XML in the comments. Channels seem right, but I'm not 100% sure on the shutter slot: CH7 on mine, values 0-9 are open, 10-127 are strobe ramps, then 128-255 do various macro stutter/fade things and the manual reads like it was translated from Chinese in a hurry (which it was).
Two questions for the room:
Has anyone here written a fully-working QLC+ profile for the CLB260 and is willing to compare? Especially the macro/strobe channel splits and the dim-curve toggle.
Is there a "best practice" doc for submitting fixture profiles to the QLC+ official library? Ours works but I'd rather upstream once and stop maintaining locally.
If anyone wants my CLB260 XML drop a comment, I'll DM. It's free, GPL, do whatever.
