PCOS confirmed, endo suspected. Absence of menstruation
Hello. I was diagnosed with pcos a couple years ago due to hormone levels and absence of menstruation. Prior to losing the menstruation, I always had incredibly heavy and painful periods. Now I still PMS with cramps and tender breasts and nausea, but I hardly get blood. If I do bleed it is always dark brown / old blood.
That being said I am still due to finally get a laparoscopy next month to see if I have endo. My symptoms include chronic pelvic pain, lower back pain, leg pain, and random bouts of nausea. My surgeon is very kind but in our initial consult she said she rarely has patients with overlapping pcos and endo. I feel like this is an odd thing to say? Could be over analyzing and maybe that's just her experience but also she is highly experienced and recommended so it is strange.
I am curious if others have these two diagnoses!?
