USA250 Bait and Switch Holland America Boston Zuiderdam July 4th 2026
We booked Holland America's 250th USA anniversary 7 day Celebratory Cruise out of Boston Harbor July 4th to 11th expecting 7 days of red, white and blue USA patriotic themes. The only USA colors came from U.S. passenger doors. No American song book entertainment. No World Stage USA celebratory music and dancing. All the entertainment was the regular Canada themed Boston-Quebec type entertainment. Holland America got so many complaints they offered all passengers a 20% future cruise credit, but no individual compensation for passengers like us who paid 40% more in Feb 2025 for this supposedly USA250 7 day cruise. We wrote several times to them about this egregious bait and switch and only got passed up along the cruise guest relations line. Only generic appreciation of your feedback comments.
