CUNY document evaluation taking 14+ weeks — is this normal?
Has anyone been in a similar situation? I applied to CUNY as an international student for Fall 2026 in February (about a month after the deadline). I’m still waiting for my document evaluation for 14 weeks now. I chose to have my evaluation done through CUNY because I thought it would be quick and straightforward — now I regret it.
They keep telling me to wait and I’ve already been there about 5 times and sent multiple emails, but I’m still just being told to wait. Recently, I was even advised to apply for Spring 2027 just in case.
Has anyone experienced such a long evaluation process? What are my chances of still getting in for Fall 2026? I applied at the same time as a friend, and she submitted her document evaluation a few weeks after me through CUNY as well. She already received a decision and got accepted.
I’d really appreciate any advice or similar experience.
