The Music Industry In 1990
I stumbled into this episode of Donahue from June 13th 1990. Luthur from 2 Like Crew is on the stage. It got me thinking, 2 Live Crew was planting early seeds of GhettoTech. this thought made me realize I was a ghetto tech loved before the genre was fully in play.
The Donahue episode is very interesting to watch today 36 years later. Censorship is on the table. you can see how much more dialed and evil the music industry has become with hedge funds owning major labels and such.
it makes me feel we are in a time where making, listening too, and promoting legit underground artist. The envelope needs to be pushed. Ghetto Tech is pushing it the most today. And we need to stop playing the hits from 30 years ago. They were not even good then. Be original like they were doing in the 90's. Look at all these amazing fools doong their thing!
