Found this buried partially on a rocky beach on Nootka Island in British Columbia

I was doing a hike on a semi remote route in Nootka Sound in British Columbia and found this. Initially I thought it was a cool shape and is a super lightweight stone so I grabbed it as a memento.

After I got home it’s throwing me off. The hole on it is almost perfectly circular, and it’s hard to show in photos but has a ridge running around the middle of it.

Then on the longer flat side it I noticed it has this rectangular bulge almost in the middle of it.

Worth also noting it’s super heavily polished and feels almost “waxy”.

Is it just a cool naturally formed rock, something someone dropped at some point, or something older? Thanks!
