A hiring manager said this to me after an interview once. At that time my resume was solid but my Github not so much, barely anything on there. He told me he could figure out more about how someone actually works by spending 20 minutes on their GitHub than by reading a polished two-page resume.
I think about that a lot now. Posting this here for anyone who might need the advice!
