Hi everyone,

I’m a 21-year-old university student from Turkey, seeking some advice on my TRV (Visitor Visa) application. I applied on March 1st through the Ankara Visa Office, and today marks Day 70.

My Profile:

• CAN+ Status: I’ve previously held 2 Canadian visitor visas and have traveled to Canada twice.
• Travel History: Multiple Schengen visas and extensive travel throughout Europe.
• Support: My relative in Canada, who is a University Professor, is my sponsor and provided a formal invitation/financial support.

The Situation:

• When I applied on March 1st, the official processing time was 31 days. It has since been updated to 40 days, but I am now at 70 days—well over double the initial estimate.
• I have sent 4 webforms so far to inquire about the delay. Every single one received the same generic, automated response stating that the application is still under review.

My Questions:

1. Given my strong travel history and CAN+ status, why would a straightforward application like this be delayed for 70 days?
2. Has anyone else applying through the Ankara Office experienced similar timelines recently?
3. In your experience, how much longer could this process realistically take?
