Bandsaw setup questions
I recently inherited this old bandsaw from an uncle (he’s ok, just can’t work in the shop anymore), and when we were checking it over we noticed that the wheels are very misaligned. When spinning by hand the blade pops right off after a dozen or so turns
Haven’t tried using it with the blade yet, though we confirmed the motor works etc
I’d like to get some input on what is needed to get things functional. Ie how to go about adjusting the wheels and tension, and what component would you recommend just replacing (guessing the rubber grip but don’t know what else)
I’ve used (newer) bandsaws before at maker spaces etc, and am familiar with power tool maintenance, but not on bandsaws and usually with things new enough to have an online manual etc.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated
