Need advice: payment to my Pakistani driver failed and I can’t contact him since yesterday
I need advice because I’m honestly worried and overthinking right now. I’ve had a Pakistani driver since December and he usually drives me between Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Yesterday he dropped me off in Deira around 3 PM.
While we were on the way, he told me he hasn’t been getting much work lately. He works for a rental car company and said, “it’s better to have little income than nothing.” He also mentioned that some Pakistanis were getting deported recently.
Usually I sit in the back seat, but yesterday for the first time he asked me to sit in the front because he said there were random checks happening. I didn’t think much of it at the time.
After he dropped me off, I paid him through bank transfer like I normally do. At first it showed as successful, but around 4:40 PM I noticed the money came back to my account. I tried sending it again 3 times and it still wouldn’t go through. Since then I’ve been trying to call him and he hasn’t answered at all.
Now I’m really worried something may have happened to him. Do you think his bank account could’ve been frozen, SIM disconnected, or am I just overthinking
