Hey everyone, this is my first post here.

About 2–3 years ago my wisdom teeth started coming in, and around the same time I noticed my jaw started clicking/popping when I opened my mouth. I kind of assumed it was related and that it would go away once everything finished erupting.

I saw a dentist back then who said I had enough space for my wisdom teeth and didn’t recommend removing them, so I just left them.

Over time, the jaw clicking and discomfort gradually got worse.

I later went to another dentist who suggested braces, but I wasn’t fully convinced and decided to get a second opinion.

Another more experienced dentist thought it might be stress-related and didn’t suggest any real structural treatment, just some mild muscle relaxants.

One thing I’ve noticed is that one side of my jaw/masseter and cheek area looks slightly bigger than the other. In the morning my face looks pretty symmetrical, but by the end of the day I notice more asymmetry around the jaw area.

About 3 months ago, I suddenly started having limited mouth opening. Since then, I can’t really open more than about 2 fingers.

More recently I saw another dentist who thinks it might be related to my bite/occlusion and suggested removing my wisdom teeth and possibly starting orthodontic treatment (braces).

I’m just feeling a bit confused at this point with all the different opinions and would really appreciate any insights or similar experiences.

I'm starting to feel a little desperate. Thanks a lot 🙏
