A few months ago I was in an accident. Both of us were uninsured. I know I should have had insurance. Now I have received a letter asking for a huge amount of money from a motor vehicle claims lawyer. The amount Im being asked to pay I cannot afford. What do I do? I have contacted them, but I have no way of paying. Also the person that called me to respond to the message I sent to the email address on this letter, said he was from a third party claims company (the name of the company he said he was from isn’t on this letter). I’m wondering if I should wait for it to go to court because it all seems a little dodgy and I’m unsure of even asking to go on a payment plan.
