Why would a Monstera leaf fail to unfurl and start yellowing?

Hi I got this monstera from Trader Joe’s about 4-6 weeks ago it had 2 unfurled leafs that never unfurled and I saw that wrapping them in a wet warm paper could help them unfurl. After doing that I tried helping it to open the leaves and noticed that one of them was staring to yellow and had a brown dead spot on the leaf I cut the brown spot but now I’m starting to worry and don’t know if I should cut that leaf or just leave it alone. I also don’t know if should repot it. I bottom water it. West facing light

Why would a Monstera leaf fail to unfurl and start yellowing?

Hi everyone, I’m looking for advice on my Monstera. I got it from Trader Joe’s about a month ago, and one of the new leaves never fully unfurled. It stayed tightly curled for weeks, so I carefully used a warm wet paper towel to soften it and help it open a little.

Now I’m noticing some yellowing/browning on the leaf and I’m worried I may have damaged it or that something else is wrong. The rest of the plant seems mostly okay.

I’m not sure what the best next step is:

•	Should I leave the leaf alone and let the plant recover naturally?

•	Should I cut the damaged leaf off?

•	Should I repot the plant in case it’s a root or soil issue?

Any advice would really help since I’m still learning with Monsteras. I’ll attach photos in the comments.
