Hit Immortal as an init flex by watching pros use utility — but I’ve never once reviewed my own games. Anyone else?

Solo queue init main, climbed Plat to Immortal over ~8 months. ~6 games a day, basic deathmatch warmup, no real routine. Hit a few hard plateaus along the way.

The thing that actually unlocked the climb for me wasn't mechanics or game sense generally — it was watching how pros, coaches, and high Imm/Radiant streamers use their utility. Not their aim. Their smokes, flashes, recon. Took maybe 2-3 weeks of consciously copying and trying stuff in my own games before it clicked. Suddenly I was getting info my team didn't have, and my rounds started making sense.

Here's the part I find weird though: I've never once reviewed my own VODs.

Like, I climbed by studying other people's gameplay obsessively, but never spent 20 min looking at my own. So I have no idea which of my util usages actually work and which are just habits I copied without understanding. I have no idea which maps drain my RR, which agents I'm actually good with vs which ones I just play because the team needs them. Zero data on myself.

This feels like a problem and I think it's why I plateau so often. I climb on pattern-matching from others, then when something stops working I have nothing to fall back on.

Genuinely curious:

- Init mains here — did watching utility usage unlock your climb too, or was it something else?
- Anyone actually reviews their own VODs consistently? Did it help more than watching pros?
- For the ones who flex agents like me — how do you know which agent is actually your best one vs the one you just like playing?

(Building a spreadsheet to log my own games and stop flying blind on myself. Link in bio if curious. But mostly want to hear how others handle this.)

Building a Valorant tracker spreadsheet — what would you actually want it to show?

Hey, Immortal player here (currently this act, can drop tracker.gg if anyone wants).

I'm putting together a spreadsheet/Notion template to log every comp game and surface patterns I can't see by feeling. Stuff like map win rates, RR delta per agent, time-of-day performance, tilt streaks, etc.

Before I go too deep building it, I want to know what would actually be useful for people grinding ranked. Curious about:

- What patterns do you wish you could see in your own play?
- Do you already track anything, or just go on vibes?
- What metrics would make you think "yeah, I'd actually use this every game"?

Stuff I'm planning to include so far:
- Map + agent + result + RR per game
- Auto-detected best/worst maps and agents
- Time-of-day performance windows
- Loss streak alerts (when to stop queuing)
- Session length vs win rate

What am I missing? What's overkill?

If anyone wants me to share the template when it's done: https://tally.so/r/ja5aoJ. Otherwise the discussion is what I'm really after.
