I’m looking for a beginner-friendly Linux project, but I don’t want to start by memorizing all the concepts/terms. I want something where I first feel the pain/problem, then understand why abstractions like processes, pipes, file descriptors, init/supervisors, namespaces, etc. were invented.

Any good starter project for learning Linux/Unix this way, through necessity/history rather than definitions?

FYI: I'm a professional programmer (I know C, Rust, Nodejs, Python, Java, C#)

I have a pro plan on XiaomiMimo and i have created my account and set the password and everything, but now, I cannot login via Safari on my Mac, the spinner keeps turning, and there is no single API call made when I click the Sign In button on Safari, and it doesn't work.. use another browser instead but then the risk of privacy etc... I contacted them through different channels, but no response so far...

Unfortunately, the XiaomiMimo Platform console sign in doesn't seem to support Safari
