I just launched a beauty vending machine with a customized makeup line—here’s how it went
Post:
I wanted to share a quick update on something I’ve been working on.
I recently launched a beauty vending machine concept that includes a customized makeup line. It’s still early, but I’ve been testing placement, product mix, and customer response.
So far, here’s what I’ve learned:
- People are very interested in convenience beauty products (especially lip gloss, lashes, small cosmetics, etc.)
- Presentation matters more than I expected—branding and machine layout actually affect trust
- Restocking and product selection is already becoming the biggest operational focus
- Location is still the deciding factor on whether it moves slow or fast
It’s been a mix of excitement and adjustments. Some assumptions I had going in were wrong, and I’m still refining things as I go.
I’m not trying to overhype it—just documenting the process as I build.
For anyone who’s done vending or beauty retail:
👉 What products actually perform best in beauty vending setups long-term?
👉 Any mistakes you made early on that I should watch out for?
Appreciate any honest feedback.
