Brown chert corner notch - so perfect 😮💨
In situ video of me pulling a beautiful Dalton made from Reeds Spring Chert. It’s just over 2” in length. Thrilled to have found it! Stay hydrated out there folks! It’s hotter than hell!
I found it. Me. I found it.
I found this drill about 45 minutes before I found that massive rice lobed blade I posted yesterday. I cannot let this find be overshadowed though because this is a fine specimen. Based on the opinions I have already received, this is a Paleolithic Plainview drill (further speculation is certainly encouraged though), and I don’t need an expert to know that this beauty is made from Alibates Agatized Dolomite.
Yesterday I had the pleasure of finding what may be my greatest find yet! I present to you an in situ video of me pulling this 4.5” monster (sorry about the audio - it was raining cats and dogs). Most people are saying that it is most-likely a Rice Lobed Blade, but further speculation is certainly welcomed. The material is more up for debate; in the sunlight it looks to be dark greyish with a hint of blue/green/brown. Backlit, it is fully translucent. Would love to hear some ideas on what that material may be! Thanks for watching!
I found this super nice yellowish-cream-colored point and it has an awesome bevel on it. Was wondering if anyone could help me with the ID (NEOK)
Guys I don’t usually post flake blades, but I’m absolutely stunned by this material and I have absolutely no clue what it actually is. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. My best guess is that it may be some type of jasper or tannic stained alibates.
Awesome piece if found yesterday! Was thinking it might be an Edgewood or Jackie. Looks like Barren Fork Chert. Please share your thoughts if you have any ideas.
Found this amazing blade yesterday. Very uniform thickness throughout the blade and very well-made. My thoughts is that it is a Peisker Diamond Blade. Not sure on the material but it seems to be made from a slate-grey colored chert and it has a rather waxy-feeling surface. If anyone knows this exact material let me know.
