I think our timeline and prospect pool would allow us to give up firsts and prospects. What is mathews and tkachuks value? Based off most recent superstar trade Quinn took Buium, a first, and Rossi. Allegedly we offered Hutson and 2 firsts(glad they didn’t take it I still think Hutson is going to be a superstar).
My offer: both firsts this year, Parasek or lakovic(who they want of the two) and Miro. Laps if they want him as a sweetener.
This team clearly needs a superstar and gambling on Mathews or Tkachuk imo is worth it. Carbs system will get you regular season wins, but who is your star in the playoffs? At a certain point you need someone of superstar caliber and you’re not going to get them in FA
